As I think a great way to sway the public opinion on gun control policies is to actually let the police do the talking as they are seen as knowledgeable on that matter by the population. Also we are often seen as gun nuts, rednecks so it's only an uphill battle from here.

That's why, to me, this video is just perfect to convey a simple but powerful message.

Police and the majority of gun owners have been repeating that argument for literally years and the government / general public still don't care. You do realize that right?

This subreddit especially has been leaning hard into using rational arguments to oppose irrational people.

Well the general opinion of police nowadays (ALSO in part from importing American news/issues) is "ACAB" so their opinion matters just as much as ours do to hardcore Liberal types, which is not at all.

Nobody needs to drink or smoke, and either of those things have caused more deaths than gun violence. It's just not as violent (read: scary) and is impractical and more difficult to press as a wedge issue so guns it is!
