Weekly Politics Thread

Please post all your Politics or Ban-related ideas, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. Unless new information is published in the media, recurring articles related to the gov'ts ***possible*** legislation are to be posted here. These threads will be weekly, until it's necessary for another per-week.

Previous politics threads can be found here. Previous threads can be found here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

All the deletions and bans make me more uncomfortable about participating here. Not because I would get booted but because I don't think invalidating others to make a community seem less like the people opposed to you will use as ammo against you will help. It just emboldens those opposed to private ownership to take more away as they see less resistance. Never apologize. Never appear reasonable to their demands. All it's done is make things worse for everyone. I'm sick of it.

Eh, the mods are super reasonable here.. it's not like you get insta-mercd for going against the groupthink, just don't outwardly say things illegal, the things that get the entire subreddit shutdown. Obv the mods/admins will act on certain comments.

We've talked amongst ourselves and really don't know which one of us you're talking about. Could be anyone, really.

he's "FUCKING PISSED" and anyone who irritates him any further will be banned, not for breaking rules, but just for subjectively annoying him

Oh, I'm just the mouthpiece for the mod team on that one. We're absolutely all on board for removing people who deliberately make this already thankless job more difficult by breaking the rules.
