When will we know if they vote on the Bill today or not? Is there a way to follow what's going on in the house of commons? My transfer will probably go through in the next day or two, sure hope nothing happens today.

Wooo! Thanks for the good news 😁 Now if it can just go ahead and never happen, that'd be just great.

Hey man I'm not saying you're lying but this has been like reverse Christmas for me the last few days. Is this actually true, No OIC banning transfers As of today? Also what was the conclusion?

It ain't happening today.

Did they even discuss it today? The topics covered on the website say nothing about the proposed Bill. It only says :

Studies and Activities

Assessment of Canada’s Security Posture in Relation to Russia

Rise of Ideologically Motivated Violent Extremism in Canada

Do we know when they plan on passing it? Ive seen somewhere saying Fall 2022 but I have also heard it can happen any day.

u/improbablydrunknlw Anyone got Mike from Canmores number? Jun 08 '22

The house only sits for another two weeks. It hasn't been reviewed, and still requires a second reading. and than pass through the senate. Could it pass in that time? Absolutly? Is it likely? Not really. He could go the OIC but they made it pretty clear they're going the legislative route, probably because of the shit show of the last one, but it's always a possiblity, if there is something you want I wouldn't wait.

Im getting my ATT for this friday to go to a store to sell my firearm, I'm sure we will have time for the transfer to go through before anything happens. This is helpful info!

Maybe. Day isn’t over. Wasn’t it late afternoon last Monday when they dropped the proposed bill on us?

It was around 16:40 EST when Bill C21 was announced via press conference. I don't think we're seeing anything, it's 16:27 as of me posting

Yeah, so far, so good.

I know the guy I bought my Glock from Sunday is about ready to drive to Mirimichi (he lives northwest of Toronto, for context) and do the transfer in person with the telephone backlog. So the longer they don’t issue an OIC the better.

Still worried though.
