Funny enough, in 2011 he very well appeared that way. Talking about how Canada has a culture around guns, he respects the need “to go out and shoot stuff”, etc. Apparently he even had firearms growing up but they were stolen from his cottage…

Trudeau is only a figurehead for the beliefs and policies of the Liberal party. I'm certain that the next leader of the Liberals will be just as anti-gun if not more so than Trudeau

He is the only figurehead who can get them into power. If he falls, then the whole party crumbles. People forget that the liberals could not beat Harper for nearly a decade until Justin came along. The libs have built a cult of personality around their so called leader. Their path to power is entirely dependent on him.
