What political strategies could we push to cement our rights to own firearms in Canada? I wonder if pursuing property rights has a better chance of getting through the political system than a pure firearms approach.

Big laughs. In all seriousness your (our) best bet for concrete rights is to have the current political system (ie the English system with the crown and whatnot) dismantled and replaced with an American style one. But barring a miracle or establishing a new country, that will never ever happen.

Unfortunate blackpill. Even when the federal government went out of their way to create a bill of rights, they made sure to leave themselves plenty of escape clauses.

Asking for an established state to grant actual rights to it's citizens is asking it to act directly counter to it's own interests.

At this rate I can see separation gaining a lot of steam. What is the point of the west sticking around when they have no power?
