Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

How is the recoil? I'm pretty small but could handle a C7 just fine...

Oh I never even thought of that. I always figured the rounds we used would be more than enough given the purpose of them. But yeah I suppose game is far more difficult to uuuhhhhh... you get the idea.

Deer, elk, maybe some birds like partiridge maybe a moose some day, elk.... rabbit maybe... unless you need a trappers license to shoot rabbit... or if you're even allowed... I want to hunt for food so I guess whatever we're allowed to hunt for food. Moose I think here are done by a draw so I don't think I can just hunt those without being lucky enough to get drawn. (The guys at work are always talking about whether they got drawn for moose or not etc etc)

Absolutely I would check as to what's allowed to be hunted. But thank you so much for the firearm recommendations!!
