How is the recoil? I'm pretty small but could handle a C7 just fine...

Oh I never even thought of that. I always figured the rounds we used would be more than enough given the purpose of them. But yeah I suppose game is far more difficult to uuuhhhhh... you get the idea.

Deer, elk, maybe some birds like partiridge maybe a moose some day, elk.... rabbit maybe... unless you need a trappers license to shoot rabbit... or if you're even allowed... I want to hunt for food so I guess whatever we're allowed to hunt for food. Moose I think here are done by a draw so I don't think I can just hunt those without being lucky enough to get drawn. (The guys at work are always talking about whether they got drawn for moose or not etc etc)

Absolutely I would check as to what's allowed to be hunted. But thank you so much for the firearm recommendations!!

Maybe even a bear... but I don't remember if I liked bear or not. I havent had any since I was very little

Also I will say it was surprising how fast the training comes back. Going through the firearms handling portion of my course I imeadiately was thrown back to my training right down to clearing stoppages and the entire weapons clearing protocols. Although lack of firing bays and looking down the bore freaks the hell outta me.
