What the legality of re-chambering a gun to a different caliber? For example (I’m not gonna do this) what if you re-chambered a Ruger PCC carbine to like .45acp or 7.62-25 or re-chambering WK180 to like 545-39? Could you just give a gunsmith like 900$ and they get it done or do you need to do a bit more paperwork?

It’ll be unique for sure lol but then again the Magwells still needs to be able to work with the magazine and hence probably where your “restrictions” lie
