Complete newb here. Frantically trying to buy a revolver.

Can I use a pre-paid credit card to purchase restricted firearms online? Anyone ever had any trouble? Would like to know before I drop my meager firearm savings onto a prepaid card I can’t spend on what I want.

EDIT: or can I use someone else’s credit card like my dads? Does the credit card have to be tied to me somehow?

Call the store, they will probably fine if it's shipped to the CC address and it matches the PAL address.

I remember someone mentioned this before that stores check if the credit card name match the RPAL name
