Is it just me or is good surplus insanely hard to find right now? I look on CGN and gun post for say, a K98 and I can count the posts on one hand, and when there are listings, there’s just so much sporterized crap. Retail stores have barely anything other than SKSs, Mosins and k31s. Am I looking for milsurp wrong?

The K98 is 80 years old, collectable, and never super common in Canada. Look for a Garand or a Lee Enfield. A little more common.

Garands are a little out of my budget 😅 and pops got a couple Lee’s back when they were 500 bucks numbers matching. I understand for Mauser actions, Swedes and Yugo mausers are a bit more common right?
