Yup. It's futile trying to chase after people who would never vote for you to begin with. You see it in industries everywhere; companies, artists who try to water down what they originally are known for in an attempt to capture more people. More often than not it fails in two ways. You fail to get anyone new and your original group doesn't want you anymore. I think we saw this same thing in 2021 with the PPC gaining so much traction.
And ya it is pretty funny. Fuckin "I want low recoil semi auto carbines banned" looool
