Ammo in your GSG 1911 22LR Pistol

Prompted by the post by /u/Corvek, I thought it might be nice to separate the discussion regarding the ammo you use in your GSG.

Mine is not very picky at all with ammo. I have shot Remington Golden Bullet, Remington Subsonic, CCI Std Velocity, Aquila Super Extra, and Remington Thunderbolt with no issues.

I clean my pistol relatively regularly, and I use Hoppes No. 9 between the slide and the frame. My slide to frame fit is relatively loose, but without a significant rattle.

Approximate round count on my pistol is 1500

What are you shooting in your GSG? What doesn't work?

it used to eat anything, then I polished the rails with an 8000 grit ceramic stone. Now it only shoots subsonics and low velocity. Anything high velocity slams the slide back so hard it will flip the next round out of the mag.

Are you using any buffer in your pistol? There must be a solution to that issue.

Yup, upgraded it with the ZRTS performance package and I use the GSG red buffers. Ran fine for ~1000 rounds then started failing to feed, deforming the bullet by raming it into the ramp before it lifted clear of the magazine. Polished the rails and it stopped the failure to feed(jam) and now it will occasionally throw the next round out when the slide comes back. I can tell when it happens because the spent casings go to the side while the round that should be loaded is flipped straight up and back(usually bouncing off the top of my head). Switched to low velocity/ subsonic and it runs fine. I've decided not to clean it until it starts failing on the LV/SS and then switch back to high velocity to see if it still behaves the same. I should note that I have run several thousand rounds through it.
