How the hell can a gun that is non-restricted suddenly be deemed prohib? One minute it's safe enough for use hunting and the next it's too dangerous for anyone to have? What the fuck? As someone interested in public policy the way we handle gun laws in this country just confounds me.

Thats what I dont get. Even if there was a good reason to not allow something "oops, they have been shipping full auto receivers, etc etc", then it should never have been allowed in the first place. Not just sold for ten years and then retroactively yanked.

Same thing when the BD38 was reclassified as prohib, another 3 thousand dollar gun that had been legal(though restricted due to barrel length) for years prior.

I believe the problem was that the BD38 receiver could accept full auto parts and just work, but that's second hand information.
