Oh I know. I've used the Mike Hargreaves case as an egregious law and it's poor application. Even the biggest gun haters I came across in University thought that was ridiculous.

When I saw the story a couple of days ago in /r/canadaguns I had a mini stroke.

I couldn't believe they had the BALLS to call a fucking concrete safe and UNSECURED storage device.

I've known about the case since 2011 (I believe). I cited this National Post article in a paper I wrote on the LGR. Even my prof, a Brit from Manchester agreed it was a ridiculous charge. And he's from a country that arrests people for turning in firearms to the police .

Yup. When the election rolls around, it's the first question I'm going to be asking my local reps what their plan is.
