You're forgetting the part where he's still charged with unsafe storage anyways.

Probably, but a man can be delirious and hope a safe is considered an appropriate storage device dream.

It's not like the Ontario Attorney General and the Toronto Metro Police has dragged out a case for over 12 years where they argued a safe that took two days to break open with sledgehammers and blowtorches is not an adequate way to store firearms...

Oh wait...

Oh, those are the guys responsible? My bad.

I'm only familiar with the story because I saw it in /r/canadaguns a couple of days ago.

I didn't even live in Canada when this took place. I'll correct it now.
