I realized there was a much more simple choice to the Makasi & Carmel debate, the good 'ol liberation stick. Bit the bullet & decided to pick up an M1 Garand, thing has been absolutely caked in what appears to be cosmoline, gotta give it a good clean out but other than that im super stoked to try this out.

I thought garnad clips were exempt from 5 round limitation because of the functional design?

Oh I have no idea, I’m not rich but I assumed as such since it’s semi auto. Any surplus gun I’ve shot (Sks, .303) has been pinned at 5

Gotcha. Yea m1 garands en bloc clips are exempt from the 5 round capacity limit.

So are pistol mags, even if the cartridge is .223 or 7.62... just saying
