Feets / Collection / My build Makasi this, Carmel that...

I realized there was a much more simple choice to the Makasi & Carmel debate, the good 'ol liberation stick. Bit the bullet & decided to pick up an M1 Garand, thing has been absolutely caked in what appears to be cosmoline, gotta give it a good clean out but other than that im super stoked to try this out.

Exactly why I have my 308. Cheap enough when just shooting PMC bronze, but I caught a deal back in July at Cabellas when they had Herters 180grn for $30/box. Should have bought more than the 10 boxes I did.

But it’ll be 200 brass to reload so there is that. Still have 3 boxes left so I’ll reload the lot of them after a days target shooting and hunting season. That will be springs practice ammo and I’ll probably use some of those reloads for spring bear too

30.06 is one of the most affordable, readily available cartridges.

You cannot reload 30-06 for cheaper than .223/5.56 factory ammo. Have you seen the price of powder and large rifle primers lately ?

Yeah it won’t be cheaper than 223, 9mm etc but I still place anything under $2 per round in the dirt cheap category.

the trick is to buy thousands of bullets and all the powder and primers you need today, then sit on them for 15 years while you have kids or travel a lot for work or something, then at the end you can say lol this only cost me $2 a round when everyone else is paying $10 a round.
