Gun and gear reviews Carmel at 200
Trying more ammo, this time at 200m.
Didnt measure the groups yet, but everything other than geco and hornady did pretty well i think.
Still no problems with the rifle

On slide 4 the nosler 77 grain, was that a 5 round group or just a 4? If it was a 5 then where did the 5th shot go lol. That FGMM wasn't a great group either but everything else does seem pretty okay, minus the last slide.
Now let's see the 10 shot groups

It was a 5 shot group, no idea where 5th went. I looked all over for it and couldnt find it, so i shot the group a 2nd time

Also did you happen to try out any 62 grain X tac green tips ?
I have a boat load of that stuff and that will be primarily what ill be running when mine arrives

62gr M855 is not designed for accuracy, the green tip is designed for penetration, however it also causes inconsistencies between bullets, which causes it to be more inaccurate than M193.

Hmmm, your previous posts at 100 was similar to what I got, but 200 is very very drastically different. I shot from a table with a shooting stand

What are your results at 200m?
Could be variety of factors.
My reticle is 1 MOA, 8x zoom.
Maybe your stand is more stable.
Could be the wind, or barrel heat, etc

What optic are you running?
Do you think this would shoot tighter with a 24x to 36x target scope at 200 yards or is this just is what it is for accuracy?
Do you think the 18.6 NR barrel could produce better results?

I used kahles k18i, so its only got 8x zoom.
Im sure if you used a 24 or 36x scope and a bipod, it would group better, but thats not a realistic setup for me on this rifle

I'm not a distance shooter but I saw groups from American ARs at 300 yards and they were a lot a lot better. I know it's invalid comparison and else but is this considered ok for 5.56 platform in Canada?
