Fix my gun / Modding LTAC Raven ambi mag release.

Post image

I had taken my Raven out of the safe a week or so ago to give her a lube job before locking it back up for another year.

I figured before throwing it back in the safe I'd run some snapcaps through it. But whenever I went to drop the mag it wouldn't drop unless I used the left side release. When I press the right side it doesn't fully move the release all the way. Maybe only like 85% I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or knows a fix

I never had an issue running mags before the ban...

When I was able to shoot it. The rifle worked flawlessly. But that was forever ago.

Lockhart made the best cope in the industry. It was on a different level compared to Crusader and Kodiak. Ofc we had b&ts and brens back then so it only made sense to buy a Raven if you really wanted a "ar". Im confused with this intense switch up from everyone.

Probably the mra incident

People just get salty when you mention Lockhart because of their very expensive rifles/parts and QC issues on their gen 1.

I mentioned in another thread if you were smart and got the builders kit with their updated gen 2 or even 3 bolt carrier with their forward assist upper and did a full build you have a very solid rifle built to last that’ll take a beating.

If it’s a true AR mag release you can adjust the tension with the ambidextrous portion on the left side, either tighten or loosen it. In the CAF some guys tighten it noticeably so you’re not patrolling and look down to see you dropped your mag 500m behind you.

Just need to tighten the screw another notch, for the mag release button
