Misc I pulled asking prices from ~1,000 GunEx listings. Here's what the most-listed used rifles and shotguns are going for

Below are the 18 most-listed models from the last 2 months, with the midpoint ask and the typical range (the middle of the pack, so the lowballs and fantasy prices are trimmed off).

Model Midpoint Ask Typical Range Priced Posts
Ruger American $800 $700 – $1,038 106
Savage Axis $577 $500 – $680 82
Ruger 10/22 Carbine $598 $481 – $938 70
Winchester 1894 $1,173 $950 – $1,500 64
Remington 700 BDL SS $1,250 $950 – $1,800 61
Marlin 1895 $2,625 $1,999 – $2,763 56
Winchester 70 $1,500 $1,138 – $1,775 51
Marlin 336 $1,600 $1,325 – $1,775 47
Remington 700 $1,600 $1,038 – $2,500 44
Savage 110 $950 $775 – $1,300 43
Remington 870 Wingmaster $650 $500 – $850 41
Winchester SXP $500 $475 – $600 41
Lee Enfield (W.W. Greener SMLE) $450 $350 – $950 37
Savage 64 $300 $220 – $375 37
Tikka T3 $1,500 $1,099 – $2,700 37
Bergara B14 $1,500 $1,225 – $2,250 35
Remington 870 $758 $563 – $850 34
Simonov SKS 1945 $997 $850 – $1,100 34

These are asking prices, not sold prices, so think of them as a ceiling.

Nah I feel like this is a flawed model. Chinese SKS's go for less than that regularly, russians go for more, yugos go for even more. Without having a specific breakdown I'm not sure an average is even useful for the average buyer.

I remember being told on this very sub that the idea of the SKS being over $800 was absolutely fictitious and I was insane for suggesting such a thing... And it wasnt all that long ago either...

That site seems sketchy as hell. They want way to much personal info and its a clunky amateur layout

Jesus I don’t think I have ever paid $300 for a savage axis. Don’t get me wrong I’m not an axis hater, I’m not dragging a weatherby into the beaver swamp but $577 is wild.

Interesting and sorry to rain on your parade but it doesn’t really mean anything for the majority of the models listed, since it’s not broken down to the specific variants.

For example the tikka T3/X comes in variants from $1k to 33K, so just lumping them all together doesn’t have any value.

Same for lots of the others and especially if you consider rifles like the win 1894 have models going back over 100 years in all sorts of condition.

No rain on the parade, that's a fair point to raise! They actually are broken down by variant (though it depends on how accurately people list them, so there's some room for error). For example, the T3x TAC A1 has a mid ask of $3,500. The T3 shows up on this list because the base model is the most commonly listed variant (or selected).
