Fix my gun Sulun spas 12 takedown instructions are outdated
Anyone got a good takedown video for it?
Seems the newer model’s magazine spring is locked in place and the instructions are for the old model. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get the magazine spring off.
Instructions and actual firearm in photos for reference.
Also the pins above the trigger group are impossible to remove I’ve taken a punch and a hammer to them and they won’t budge.
EDIT:
Ok I figured out the issue.
The instructions say to twist and pull out the charging handle. On the gen2, the charging handle comes out with a straight pull when it’s moved back about halfway. Mine was stuck (like almost everything on this gun).
The actual bolt and firing pin hold together the action spring. You can’t disassemble it fully without removing the bolt and firing pin.
I put the gun into pump mode, and used the handguard to pull the bolt back about half way. Then used a pair of pliers to yank out the charging handle.
At this point I was able to follow the remaining steps as normal.
I was unable to remove the trigger group because the rear pin holding it in is completely stuck, I tried a punch and hammer to get it out with no luck. I think I need a press or something to get it loose. Already scratched the shit out of the side of the gun with the hammer and punch method.

Did you take the bolt out? What I did was 1: Take the charging handle out (just pull it out) 2: Unscrew the magazine tube in the front 3: Everything pulls apart and your good to go

Oh I never took the charging handle out. Any tips for getting it out? It seems pretty stuck in there, the instructions say you can rotate it but it’s definitely not twist and pull.
Probably need some pliars or something.

Pull it back about halfway (i find using the handguard pump for this helps) while the bolt is about halfway charged pull the charging handle out by hand and it should come out a lot easier. no twisting is needed it just comes out by pulling on it.

Hmm tried this. Doesn’t want to come out. It’s stuck in there good
Edit:
Had to get a pair of pliers but finally got it out

super odd it was that stuck in, cant go wrong with pliers though. I might end up making a video on how to take the gun down. I do admit the instructions weren't the greatest.

I second that you should make a complete take down vid including taking the BCG out. Would greatly appreciate it
I’m having same problem as this gentlemen

you mean the action spring? after the handguard comes off you can move the bolt further forward so the bolt handle can pop out when aligned correctly. then all that stuff out front can be removed

I think at very least some TI staff should make a video of take down themselves.
Like they did for the defective stock replacement for T81 SR.

They’re the worst instructions I’ve ever seen. I literally laughed flipping through the book.
