Buy recommendations Ruger Gunsite Scout Scope Switch

Hey everyone, first off not my picture just one off the internet.

Picked up a gunsite scout and have been considering switching from the front mounted scout scope to a traditional mounted lpvo and full rail. In my opinion an lpvo is just a modern evolution of the scout concept and since the ruger takes box mags the whole feeding the gun with stripper clips thing is moot.

A big reason I’m even considering this route is so I can run a top mounted red dot and still fire with NVG’s on.

Anyone switch over their scout or just have general info on any upgrades or work you did to yours?

Thanks can’t get any closer than that!

The lpvo low power issue of finding the reticle could be sorted out with an Eotech voodoo type reticle (had one on a famae that I loved) to get the both of both worlds but that involves some serious money on an optic or careful selection of the reticle.

Happy to see it’s not a crazy idea though!
