Misc Gunpost still the only place to sell?
Hey all, wondering if gunpost is still the go to place to offload ammo and arms.
I don't really shoot anymore and I've got boxes of new ammo and other arms I wanted to get rid of. From what I see gunpost is still the best but checking if there are any other places to consider?

GP offers and conversations have been come ridiculous. Lots people trying to skirt the pal check rules now and low balling. Usually wasting my time. CGN if you can get over the sites faults and usually has been straight up ill take it and money sent with no verfication issues.

Yeah CGN and gunpost are the best and biggest, I wouldn’t even bother with the other ones to be honest.

I almost don't wanna bring it up too much because its not talked about often, but in Western Canada, Townpost is easily the best option. Just don't expect to get anything shipped. Usually you gotta drive to pick it up.

Interesting, I’m in Vancouver and CGN and Gunpost are anyone I know uses, but I guess it does very by area especially for local deals on townpost. Most Gunpost and CGN stuff is getting shipped

Agreed. Townpost is a great site to sell/buy ammo since folks are used to local pickup

Cgn is the best. But you need to build on your traders rating. Over the years I only got screwed over once.

Yeah, I have a triple digit rating, not scammed once. Was always able to solve issues the few times it happened, some of which were my fault. 20 years on the platform.

No where near, sure its older but its UI is beyond out dated and difficult to navigate. Hence why GP has surpassed it in popularity while only existing for a fraction of the time.

CGN I usually know I'm getting some old school guys who don't mess around and I make some as quick painless deals. Gunpost is obviously way better as a website, easier to navigate and have conversations, but it's hit or miss with the folks on there

They need to revamp their website to make it more user friendly, imo. GP is a simple and understandable site, so it gets most of the traffic. CGN could, and should, dust themselves off and get with the times.

CGN Sucks to navigate. Gunpost you can search my caliber or search things by name or whatever you want. Being able to see pictures before you actually click a link too. CGN is just a pain in the ass.

Outside of stores offering consignment. I'd consider it the best option.
The platform itself has been around long enough and account history is reassuring. If you're just opening an account there and have no reviews - as a seller you may hit some turbulence because ultimately you will be asking people to e-transfer.
Just note - ammo doesn't really move unless you put around half price of retail, and even then it can be a headache.
Also familiarize yourself with the current laws on what items require you to validate buyer's PAL.

Or consign everything to a firearms auction if you don't want to deal with the buyers directly

I only use Gunpost to sell guns and ammo. I've never had an issue on there. As long you keep your prices for everything reasonable then you shouldn't have a problem offloading anything tbh.

Canadian Gun Nutz is an option, but be prepared for a 6 month wait to get access to the buy and sell sections and you are forced to participate in forum discussions. You will be fast tracked if you post racist, homophobic a d extreme anti liberal type posts. You will be loved by the mods and members.

Hmmm. I got approved for buy and sell pretty quickly. I've not seen any rascist stuff on there. I haven't participated in any forums and I'm still a member.
