Fix my gun Anyone seen this before?

Never seen this on a shotgun shell before today. Testing out a 30 round drum mag on a Canuck Recon 3 and about 8-9 shells out of 60 had this damage on it. Had a lot of double feeds and it looked like the extractor was catching the 2nd bottom round and is probably what did this.

Almost looks like there might be a corresponding spot on the bolt face whete the case head isn't being supported.

Was the bolt fully closed? Looks like an out-of-battery detonation, with the rim flared out the way it is due to being unsupported by the bolt face.

What make and model of shotgun did you fire this shell with?

Canuck Recon 3. I had used the 10 round mags before and never seen this, this was only when loading with the 30 round drum.

That's concerning... Personally I'd bring the firearm and some shells to a gunsmith.

Looks like a headspace issue to me. The casing is bulged out near the rim as well.

Were you at Stittsville this morning? Saw a guy using a recon with drum mag.

Definitely needed gills to breath with all the humidity.
