Misc Canuck C-22

Just saw this at TACCOM!! The chassis looked quite appealing when viewed up close (and in black anodize especially). The few videos online right now don't do it justice. The button and knob placement look very ergonomic. I really can't wait to see how one of these is field stripped because that is the particular quality that makes the Ruger 10/22, and also the Derya TM-22, so appealing to me personally. I totally nerd out about cleaning for some reason. ๐Ÿ˜…

Wife says I have too many .22s already and that she wants to see some bigger caliber.. Men can never win. I have to accept that her middle toe is longer than her big toe but she canโ€™t accept that Iโ€™m cowboy22 ๐Ÿ™

I just looked at my middle toe and itโ€™s longer than my big toe, I never noticed and now Iโ€™m self conscious ๐Ÿฅบ

Looks promising, also just handled it at the show, I never settled to those Deyas, but this could be a fun gun for my kids.

The TM-22 has an innovative design which is what makes them cool. The main downside is the cheap/thin aluminum receiver. The C-22 looks extra thick and solid, but it might be slightly more retail cost. Probably well worth it, I'm thinking.

I was checking it out, the gun was well built and designed but there is no easy attachment point for me to do stuff without making a complete new upper though, ill figure something out

Is the gun part of the gun the upper, or the lower?

Depends on where the serial number is

The word was that these will be in stores "this year".

We don't need more .22lrs... make this in 9mm and I'll buy 2 of them right now.

The sterling arms booth had a 9mm PCC that they just submitted for FRT, and it looked pretty nice to me. Itโ€™s rough being a Canadian gun enthusiast man

It looks very much like their R9. The redesign work was all kind of internal, I believe. Maybe low key the coolest thing at the show. Brigade's Makasi is there too if you never saw one in person before which was pretty cool to look at.

Is that the 9mm lever action thst takes glock mags? I need a semi.

No this is some brand new one--not a lever. I can't see any info online about it. It would come with a 5 round mag and there were also 10 round aftermarket mags that worked but they were curved so not a glock mag.

Curved 9mm mags?? What even the hell??

Yeah in another thread someone said they were proprietary. Fingers crossed

Apart from the goofy looking milling (seriously, why do modern guns all look this tacky?), the ergonomics and overall design look solid. Left side charging and a true LRBHO, plus easy to load proprietary mags.

The skeletonization and stepping around the magwell were the details I was most focused on, but it all looked quite cohesive when viewed up close. The magwell flare looked awesome actually. It supposedly also has a cleaning port built into the receiver for back-of-the-barrel access.

I really wish we would get straight stick mags for these. I dont know how hard that would be to engineer. Im not a fan of the big curved magazines. Not a deal breaker tho.

Had a chance to try it at a dealer event and was pleasantly surprised. Ran the proprietary extended mags and didnt have problems with it, I look forward to getting them in.

If you were bored, I would say yes. For only being in 1 room, there were quite a lot of booths to check out. I went around maybe two whole times, and that took me 2.5 hours. I only stopped at maybe 4 or 5 individual booths that had stuff I wanted to look at too.
