Misc Adler RF-224 "gen 2"

Just saw these at the big show. I guess the RF-224 with the extended mag release that have been around are like a MK1.5, because the gen2 has some other quite notable differences. The extended mag release is there, but they also plugged the top screw hole for the foreend and switched to what appears to be a takedown twist knob on the side. Really weird! Also, no more crazy glued buffer tube, as it has a 1913 adapter built on the back, and it comes with a fixed, more minimalist stock. I'd be interested to know if they made any internal changes. I find the RF-224 ejector placement makes bolt removal and reinstall somehow even more annoying than a stock 10/22.

Im more looking forward to the c22 since adler is one of those turkish companies.

Yeah lol, I definitely don't need any more .22s, but I fear I might have to get one of those haha

Are they improving the 10/22 magazine compatibility? I heard some bad things about it, like how it wasn't to-spec.

Yeah, would be a good thing to do. BX mags are bad enough, I have trouble with certain 597-adapted mags as well! Only the factory Adler mags have been a true fit for me.

I have had zero issues with 3 different 10 round rotaries but can't get either of my 22 round 597 pmags to feed, even running below capacity. I'm assuming I'll have to do some filing or replace the mag springs.

I bought one because I was a noobie and wanted to get a tactical 10/22 without breaking the bank. It was a waste of money, because I ended up doing the full custom 10/22 in the end anyway. 😅

Just saw the latest Canadian caliber video. Ur from EGE (cool guy!) , says they are indeed takedown—the barrel and foreend come off super easily. Another thing he mentions is the grip is now AR compatible. Cool! (Don’t think I’ll be buying one but i still think it’s cool they upgraded these.)
