Fix my gun 6-40 machine screws

Thanks for all the input guys. Ended up going to a local gunsmith and got a pair.

Anyone know a hardware store that carry these screws ? #6-40 1/4” or 3/8”

Amazon has a "Screw Set 68 Pcs for Red Dot Sight Optics and Mount" with 6-40 in 2 lengths.

Grainger has a bunch of socket head cap screws in #6-40

#6-40 is pretty much a "gun only" size. I had to buy a screw kit from Pachmayr, and taps from Brownells. I may be able to find what you need in my parts bin... Can you give me more info on what you need?

Trying to install a red dot on my P320. I think a 3/8” screw will do the trick

I ordered a multi size pack that had the right size in it, I found it on the American Amazon site and shipping was quick. I don't have a link but the little kit is labeled "Votatu red dot screw pack", comes with an assortment.
