Yesterday I picked up a Hatsan Bulltac shotgun. I wanted a bullpup and the other two I bought were banned. Overall I really like this gun. I took it out of the box today, threw a red dot on it and headed to the range. 75 rounds with one failing to feed for some reason, I touched the charging handle and it finished loading. The Good: nice fit to finish, good weight and easy to shoot. The Bad: there is no bolt release, once you put one in the chamber and push the next one into the magazine the bolt closes. Not a huge dislike.

Yes. Just place the round in the open chamber and start feeding the tube mag and the bolt closes.

that was present on other hatsan semi-autos. it actually makes the gun more stiff to load the tube. as you have to keep hitting the tab in the middle of it to unlock the ramp eveytime you load a shell it.

The lifter is the bolt release

This explains a lot. I spent a solid minute at taccom looking for a bolt release and a charging handle.

The charging handle isn't installed from factory. They did not have them installed on the guns at Taccom.

That also explain a lot. I was so confused wondering where they were.
