Gunsmith in Nova Scotia?

I bought my son an older rifle online from General gun in Feb to use hunting. It was a 1960's Savage 110L.

We finally had time to get out and sight it in... or so we thought.

Visually the firearm looked fine before we used it and we gave it a light cleaning. However we only got 1 shot off and the casing won't eject.

It's a old rifle, but he really likes it and I'm hoping we can get it repaired.

Any suggestions for gun smiths?

What caliber is it ? Are you shooting factory ammo or reloaded ammo ?

We used Factory. 270 win.
