Fix my gun Loading ramp on wrangler sometimes doesn’t go down fully
It’s not every time but the ramp won’t fully seat down sometimes. It’s almost like the magazine tube spring puts too much pressure on the ramp so it doesn’t go down all the way. It likes to start on rounds 3 and 4 (7 round capacity) Sometimes 2 if it feels extra. When it does that, pushing the loading get in pushes the ramp down and “fixes” it. Not sure if it’s the ramp itself with an issue but levering it with nothing in seems to fully seat the ramp.
I’ve shot about 20 rounds through it. It worked flawlessly. This go around I loaded it up, but didn’t have a need to shoot it (went out to check for coyotes) so I went to unload. That’s when I noticed this issue.

My 1892 needed about 700 rounds before all the springs were softened up (not just the mag tube, the loading gate shredded my thumb at first). I had a lot of jams before that. Even at the 1250 round mark now, maybe 1 time in 100, I’ll have to fiddle with a round to get it to feed.

Interesting. I guess I’ll have to shoot it more and see. The loading gate has scratched my thumb too a bit.

Cut a couple inches off the mag spring. Had to on my 16” to get full capacity 357 and made it a bit easier loading also don’t granny the action send it and it runs perfect

I had the same experience, and it was especially bad with .38 special. Clean it, bit of extra oil (not too much), and fire it while racking ALL the way forward a bunch of times. Fixed it for me.
