What a stupid fucking gun. I'll take 10!

u/StriderDB 8d ago

Man I’m waiting for the SPAS restock

22

u/rastamasta45 8d ago

The fact they’re the same price is madness! Like bang for your buck the spas is the winner

10

u/Rewindonemoretime 8d ago

It’ll be awhile, may as well get this to hold you over untill then.

Given the reviews on it, I'd pass if I were you. Lots of issues.

1

u/T4h3r96 8d ago

For the SPAS?

7

u/Krazee9 on 8d ago

The gun likes to loosen itself through firing, the mag spring is weak, the gun double-feeds all the time, and the bolt release is so stiff it's unusable.

Then there's the allegations that TI shipped these with a non-compliant magazine pin, so the mag tube extension on the guns may be of dubious legality.

u/Oetter83 7d ago

Wasn’t the original SPAS also an unreliable gun? This one is just staying true to its roots

1

u/T4h3r96 8d ago

Oh damn

21

u/justheretolook2025 8d ago

Shame it came back an extra $200 more expensive than their first release.

8

u/Iokua_CDN 8d ago

Rifled barrel easily does that.

The sr410 vs the sr45 was like 700 bucks to 1100.  This one is cheap in comparison

10

u/justheretolook2025 8d ago

I didn’t realize it was the rifled version. That makes sense.

9

u/Geralt-of-Rivai 8d ago

I'll buy one in a 357

1

u/Boattailfmj 7d ago

Fuuuuck yeaaaah

16

u/looloopklopm 8d ago

45 long colt and 410?? What is this

36

u/Cock_ball_dickin 8d ago

Canada compliant big iron but weird

8

u/Styrak 8d ago

Yeah that's pretty common on .410 guns. Like the Taurus Judge.

6

u/Scary-Detail-3206 8d ago

I’ve got the 9.8” one, 45 LC is pretty fun. 410 is pretty janky out of a short rifled barrel

6

u/looloopklopm 8d ago

Looks like it takes 45 Acp as well? With some sort of adapter?

This thing seems like a science experiment.

And yeah guessing those beads just fly out to the sides after getting that wad spinning

You'd have to make custom moonclips and then it would work.

The sr45 has moonclips, but I guess they have a patent in turkey, so the company that makes the tr45 can't do the same. But if someone here got it figured out...

u/thxxx1337 7d ago

Mine's both calibres. What I like about this one is the rifled bore. My sr45 is a smooth bore, but it's still fun to shoot.

8

u/NoTea3634 8d ago

Just purchased 1 min ago! Lets go!

2

u/NoTea3634 8d ago

Any tips?

3

u/Fit_Fuel_6515 7d ago

A shot of tequila beforehand

1

u/Bud_wiser_hfx 8d ago

Cant wait to feel the kick with a 45 in it.

6

u/WastedWhtieBoii 8d ago

I want one of these in .500 S&W.

5

u/LuckNo2351 8d ago

now its sold out boys.

10

u/Lumindan 8d ago

This looks like it hurts to shoot.

7

u/Iokua_CDN 8d ago

Nah it's 410. The worst part is a bit of gas from the cylinder gap.

2

u/BisonCompetitive9610 8d ago

I thought this shoots 45LC also? From pictures I've seen, looks to have a guard that blocks the cylinder gap.

2

u/warpFTL 6d ago

Wondering the same as u/Malmok11

3

u/Iokua_CDN 6d ago

I left him a comment! The tldr is this gun looks to have the fixes I did to my own earlier sr410 (the traditional stock one)  so it should be  decent gas wise. Still recommend glasses for your eyes and removing the right side blast shield, but it won't be anywhere as bad as the original sr410s

2

u/warpFTL 6d ago

My bad, just saw it and Ty for taking the time to post.

1

u/Iokua_CDN 6d ago

Oh no worries, I commented after your comment, so you wouldn't have been  able to see it!

1

u/Malmok11 6d ago

Is that gas a problem if you hold it pistol grip only? Like gas in face?

2

u/Iokua_CDN 6d ago

I have the more traditional version, and  there are ways to avoid the gas in the face, or at least limit it

  1. Having the gun further away, like a stock  extension.  My gun had one of those super short stocks, this gun looks not bad honestly.

  2. Take off the right side blast shield on the side of the cylinder,  For right handed folks. Taking off the right side actually gives the gas a nice escape away from your face. Keep the left one on though to protect your hand and face

3 use either a red dot or these flip up sights. The idea is that they keep  your face a bit further away from the gun when aiming. My gun has just a bead sight and you'd lean in close to aim and get more gas to the face. I added a red dot and that helped a lot.

So basically, these new guns should be decent, they basically already have the 3 fixes I did to my old one.  You'll likely get a bit of gas sometimes,  but it shouldn't wreck your shooting experience. I do suggest wearing some safety glasses or something. I shoot with my normal prescription glasses so that keeps the gas out of my eyes

u/ExpensiveKoi 8d ago

Immediate buy 😅

5

u/CapsDaDon 8d ago

you guys bought them all up ? :( wow meanies

1

u/cowboytwenty2 5d ago

Seriously 😭 sold out within 2 hours wtf

3

u/NeruLight 8d ago

Fuggg I got the email too but I’ve had some unexpected expenses lately 😭

2

u/cowboytwenty2 8d ago

Same pain

3

u/PaveHammer 8d ago

I have never paid attention to the variants of this thing. Are pistol grips available, hypothetically, were someone to want to convert this to a restricted firearm? Hypothetically? For argument’s sake.

6

u/ExpandDong- 8d ago

The stock holds by a single screw, do what you must with that information

1

u/mBuxx 1d ago

What’s it look like under there when you’re cleaning it?

3

u/SeniorSkirt8810 8d ago

I found this image on the internet, I do not remember when and where

2

u/Officialtopperharley 7d ago

I would also be keen to know what other stocks/grips could go on here. Maybe even something foldable.

1

u/Boattailfmj 7d ago

folding stock would make it prohib

"Firearms adapted from a rifle or shotgun, whether by sawing, cutting or any other alteration, and that, as so adapted are: less than 660 mm in length 660 mm or greater in length and has a barrel less than 457 mm in length"

1

u/Officialtopperharley 7d ago

Thanks for the heads up

2

u/sounoriginal13 8d ago

be nice if it did 45acp

2

u/Iokua_CDN 8d ago

If you can make your own moonclips, you'd be fine. Just none from the factory

2

u/Skruffy86 7d ago

This needs to stop. 1K for this garbage is insane

2

u/Sharpe_Points 7d ago

Its listed as sold out on TI's site. Did they all fly off the shelves already?

4

u/ExpandDong- 7d ago

They did in about 3 hours unfortunatly

2

u/tdotvibezz 7d ago

Will this be able to take the .45 acp and if so who will make the moon clips ?

2

u/Iokua_CDN 7d ago

No

Apparently only the SR45 is machined for moon clips and has moonclios available

This one sadly  isn't.

You could throw some chamber adaptors in to shoot like 9mm or 38 special though

1

u/tdotvibezz 3d ago

Really that would be amazing

2

u/BowFella 7d ago

So sick of the tacticool 410 revolvers. It's such a bad combo. It looks as out of place as an RMR base plate on a webley. They need to make more models in wood.

2

u/ExpandDong- 4d ago

I agree, the micro with wood furniture would be sick

1

u/Bud_wiser_hfx 8d ago

Sold, lets fucking go! What a badass little machine.

1

u/Iokua_CDN 8d ago

I actually  love this.....

Rifled barrel means decent accuracy with 410 slugs or 45lc

Also means bad accuracy with bird or buckshot.... so this one is basically only for slugs or 45lc.

If you made your own moonclips though.... this could be a 45 acp gun and that makes me happier than anything and OK with losing  Birdshot accuracy!!!

1

u/PermissionSafe2183 8d ago

I wonder if the stock portion is needed to fire the thing properly allegedly

1

u/FD4L 8d ago

For a minute I thought I was looking at a pump-action revolver...

1

u/Otherwise_Rub_9515 8d ago

After all the horror stories of Canadian and Turkish guns I can't stomach risking $1000 for a piece of shit.

I wouldn't/couldn't trust a firearm like that in a hunting/SHTF situation.

1

u/Warm_Doughnut2980 7d ago

Accuracy: optional

1

u/Awkward_Cheetah7519 7d ago

So what if someone were to trim the stock and take the grip out does that still make it a shotgun?

1

u/DisastrousPipe8924 7d ago

Where?! It’s not listed for sale on their site yet…

1

u/Lagtense 7d ago

TI has entered flow state

1

u/Particular_Signal198 4h ago

Can the stock come of or be swapped with a folding one legaly

1

u/LananasCourageux 8d ago

Do not use that foregrip.

1

u/StrangeSmellz 8d ago

Why?

7

u/sargentmyself al 8d ago

Revolvers leak gas between the cylinder and the barrel. If you put a finger next to the gap it'll blow it off.

People seem to be under the impression that doesn't have a range and will blow your whole hand off when your wrist is 6+ inches away from the gap.

4

u/NemrahG 8d ago

The gun has a cylinder guard to protect the user from the blast, it should be fine to use a grip.

4

u/Last_Temperature_599 8d ago

There's a saying don't put your hand where you wouldn't put your d*** 🍆

2

u/Blue_ech0 8d ago

This (and the other models built on this frame) has a cylinder gap guard on both sides to protect from the blast. Not too sure how well it protects up close, but it looks like it would do an OK job protecting your wrist/forearm. Someone who has one built on this frame would be a better resource

2

u/Iokua_CDN 8d ago

Cylinder  gap ain't too bad with the 410.   You won't be blowing your hamd off. I've easily shot 100 rounds from a revolver  like this  and not even been burnt. The most you get is some gas and debris  on your arm.

Now if you had something like a 45-70 revolver.... maybe.

1

u/Q-Ball7 In the end, it's taxes all the way down 8d ago

Because it's plausible you could get your hand out in front of the muzzle, which would be bad. Get one with a proper hand stop, like you see on the MP5K, Colt 633, and P90 (for that exact reason).

(The "muh cylinder gap" people don't understand there's a guard there. It'll be uncomfortable and annoying to have your hand forward of the cylinder, but it's not dangerous. That's kind of why the foregrip is there in the first place, since you're holding it low enough that won't happen.)

1

u/LananasCourageux 8d ago

Cylinder gap. Unless it's a gas trap revolver (which this is not) all revolvers have a gap between the front of the cylinder and the forcing cone. Hot gas escapes out the side and will burn you if not cause direct injury from the pressure. By holding the foregrip, you put your forearm right beside the cylinder gap.

I'd definitely buy one but I'm worried they'll just decide to ban it

-1

u/StairwayHiker 7d ago

Sad that so many of you (it’s not your fault, it’s the Liberals) had to resort to these bastardized two handed guns…. Because you aren’t allowed to buy handguns.

Personally, I’d await the fate of handguns with the Supreme Court before I bought one of these Frankenstein guns.

Yes, I own a lot of handguns…. Lucky to have had them all prematurely inherited ( in my name , but guns still at dads house) just prior to the ban.

2

u/Cre_AK47 Name Prohibited by OIC 7d ago

The handgun ban was finalized into law with C-21. While they did OIC the rule changes on issuing transfers at the beginning, it's been made irrelevant now that it's officially law with C-21.
