Prototype with PLA, looking to print with PETG for durability

Makes the gun much lighter on the frontend

Would be great if I can also print a buttstock

Factory moonclips are 29.99 so I decided to print some

Cheap enough to be one-off instead of recycling, a quarter each I think?

Also looking to fit TR410

Not PETG, get something like PA6 or PA12 carbon or glass reinforced.

Pa6 cf floors me with how strong it is. I use it for some of the mag sleeves I make and I could probably run them over with my car without damage. It's insane stuff. I've shot it with a pellet gun and it bounces off.

PA6-GF/CF with proper annealing and conditioning is absolutely wild. GF is nice because it will take dyes allowing for some degree of custom colouring and is slightly more ductile (and by extension slightly less brittle) along with some properties that are cool for other hobbies (like not being electrically conductive)

Have you had issues with skin irritation working with PA6-GF?

Nope, none. Some CF filaments cause a little itching straight off the bed (PPA-CF) but with PA6-GF I find once the party has gone through the annealing and moisture conditioning process it just feels like handling any other gun accessory. No rashes etc. to speak of.

100% agree pa6-cf is some next level durability.. even thin walled stuff I can’t believe how strong it is for some stuff I’ve got printed

I’ve been looking at one of these but not sure with the gas release from the cylinder. How bad is it?

I keep both guards on mine and I think blast is an overstated issue. Yes, .45 colt next to your face is a bit of a shock, but I’ve put several hundred rounds through mine and I think only once did i get soot on my forearm, and i didn’t even notice it right away because it’s not like i got burned or anything.

Moonclips are bit challenging to make

The tolerance is TIGHT like a nun's cunt

One takes 2 minutes to print but I don't have that much time to spend on trial and error
