Panzer arms m4 barrel space question.

Hi everyone,

Hope you are well. Bought a panzer arms m4 to add to an Italian collection.

Took it apart to clean it and putting it back together I see there is a thin gap between the barrel and receiver.

I can't remember if this gap was here before I took it apart.

Does anyone else have this gap? If it shouldn't be there does anyone who also has one who had the same problem have a solution for how to fix it?

There shouldnt be a lighter coloured gap there. Every time i reassemble mine, i have to tap the barrel back into place with a rubber mallet lol.

Thanks for the info! So perfectly normal for this thing then? And with enough force can be hammered back in? I guess I gotta buy a big rubber mallet not just my small pin mallet!

Yeah bit by bit it can be hammered in. Dont go overboard though, i usually put a towel over the muzzle first. When its new its a really tight fit.

Its a turk gun. Italian gas system. The barrel has a really tight tolerance and will form better to the receiver after taking it apart a couple dozen times. Use a rubber mallet and tap the top end or what I've done is tap the gun onto the ground barrel pointed up and the barrel slides into place. Love my m4 speed pro, I've put 10,000 rounds through it with 2 issues in which neither effect the shooting.

How is yours with light target loads? Mine was working perfectly with some Winchester ammo, but recently has started acting up with some challenger ammo. I'm going to try Winchester again, but curious if yours has issues.

Mine has this issue as well.. a mallet can be used, but I think the interference is coming from the fitment of the hand guard. The channels where it slots into the receiver end and the barrel end aren't aligned very well, so I'm in the process of filing a bit of material away from those channels in the hand guard to make fitment better.

A file and sandpaper lol. It's a delicate process because those channels are tight and you don't want to take too much material, or it will become loose. Fortunately it's aluminum so it's soft. If you look where it sits on the receiver end, if there's dirt there, you can see witness marks of where it's rubbing and just try and take material away at that section.

My job was.. not perfect lol. I'm not concerned because it's on the inside.

Does the Panzer M4 share the same stock as a real M4? I think my PM4 stock is broken and want to replace it!

I put the panzer walnut stock on my real m4, so i assume so.

the hardware is different, so i had to reuse the Benelli screw. that's about it
