After a quick inspection it appears this is indeed a gen 3 or variant of gen 2 specific to the Canadian market. The stock when unfolded is flush to the rear of the receiver as per the original spas, this is different than the imports (gen 1 and gen 2) to the USA.
My stock latch (to the rear sight) was jammed out of box. I had to remove it with a flat head screwdriver. I got it unstuck but it’s still very tight. Also the stock is insanely hard to unlock. Destroys your fingers.
After disassembly, the charging handle was a bitch to remove. Firearms was super dirty, full of that cheap nasty oil. The bolt is a bit concerning. It’s very Turkish clone, but thankfully the bolt is blued and not covered in that garbage bbq paint they usually use. The extractor spring is the best I have ever seen on a Turkish gun, bravo. It’s still not benelli strong tho… and I will likely replace mine just because. Firing pin looks fine. Gas piston has a non serviceable steel oring, good thing we got a lifetime warranty tho it may hold up just fine. I would have liked to see some standard replaceable metal orings. Inside my receiver I found a knick in the aluminum near the rear wall where the rubber bumper. Had some aluminum bits floating around in there. I will contact tactical imports about my receiver but it’s likely just cosmetic.
The magazine tube extension is blocked by a post that you can remove with a screw driver. The magazine tube has a stopper before the extension, if you want to use the extension you can but you’ll need a new longer spring. If anyone has a recommendation for a spring replacement, please share. The plastic grip is authentically horrible, I instantly put hockey tape over it.
As for the “paint wear” on the metal heat shield from the pump hand guard, as per the original the clone also rubs and looks like it will definitely wear over time. Tac mentions this on their website and so does the manual. I’m not bothered by it but some people might. I put a little tac grease in the areas to help slow the wear down.

These are very subjective ratings based on my own experience and opinion.
Those calling this Turkish junk might be eating their words, this is very different than anything I have seen from turkey, including other tactical imports.

The mag extender out of box isn’t in use. It has a post installed. The magazine tube is also capped. If you want to use the full magazine capacity you will need a proper length spring. If anyone has info on this, please comment where I can get a longer spring. The post is removable.
after removing the tube cap i switched the mag spring to one that was 4 inches longer and now the follower tension seems to be on par with my beretta and benelli or how it was with the cap and original spring
Extractor spring isn’t “Turkish” weak like I was dreading, but it’s not benelli strong. Personally I will be looking at this as a potential weak point. The whole bolt is very Turkish clone. At least it’s blued and not covered in that black BBQ paint allot of them are. If any part of the gun worries me it’s this part.
Magazine capacity could be 8 rounds of 2 1/2 inch if you do some modifications. The extended magazine is blocked, it has a post going all the way through it. Fortunately it’s a threaded post and just unscrews. I used a multi bit screw driver to remove it, it fits in the end of the multibit. But the stock built in magazine is pre plugged and you’d first need to remove the plug before you could make use of the extension. As seen in the photo. Also because of how this was done we unfortunately do not have the correct magazine spring in to use to mag extension. It’s a shame they didnt provide the correct spring and just extend the post to block it but oh well. I imagine if you try using the spring you’ll get a bunch of failure to feeds. I won’t be messing with mine until I find a proper spring. Cheers
I sent an email this morning to my gunsmith guy for a spring, being a long weekend he’s probably out blasting. But I will! I will share the exact length we end up going with and how many we can get in this tube, I’m hoping 8+1 with 2 1/2 👀
