Gun and gear reviews First Impressions SG-12
Beautiful, I owned the M3 Super 90 and it was pretty nice but this definitely blows it out of the water in terms of feel and overall looks imo.
Some things I got to play with briefly, the button to switch from semi auto and pump is very easy on mine. The bolt release button is also pretty light, don’t have to push hard or struggle to release the bolt. The pump action seems smooth, I haven’t noticed any scratching yet, but that could change with real use.
The folding latch though is tight as hell, maybe I’m trying to unlatch it wrong but that spring won’t pull downward lol. Probably going to have to unscrew the rear sight to unfold it for now. Looks like there’s a rubber piece there between the stock and receiver that is getting it hung up.
Overall, it’s a nice one, fit and finish is great!! I’m going to run some high power shells over the next few weeks likely update in some other threads or posts!

Ummm what pistol grip and stock is that on your 1301? Actually can you give a parts list on that bad boy? Sick shotgun build my friend.

Chisel Machining Folding Stock
Holosun HS507C-X2 Micro Red Dot
Nordic Mag-tube Extension
Match Saver Shell Holder +1
Magpul Zhukov Hand-guard
Airsaka Inline Scout Mount
Pro Lifter (it isn’t the mod 2 so needed this for that functionality)
I think the light is the streamlight protac 1 or 2 I can’t remember off hand.Basically it I think!

I think I read somewhere that the rubber piece was there for shipping and it's supposed to be removed.

Yep definitely what it was, either way latch still sorta get/ hung up, but playing with it more seems to loosen it up. It’s definitely getting caught up some where even when it’s not connected to the rear sight. Probably just needs to get some wear on there and it’ll loosen right up.

Any sling recommendation to make it look as close to the original as possible?

There’s a type 56 sks sling that looks like it would work on amazon, it has one side with the leather strap and a metal snap hook on the otherside. The hook on top of the pistol grip is metal and not plastic like the original so it should hold up good there. Honestly any odg surplus sling would probably work and look good imo!

Have any spas12 owners found a way to make the stock latches easier to use? Mine are super tight both the stock and the folding latch
