I load those to 20 max. Genuine garbage plastic stuff.

20 rounds and I cinch them tight with some tape around the bottom to give them a fighting chance.

Time for crazy glue and electrical tape

I had 2/3 do this. Those mags suck.

Would be nice if someone else made nicer 597 mags for use in the SBI adapter.

Promag and KCI are the worst

MFT are also pretty bad, cracked feedlips.

Wrap the next one up with tape real good?

I always load then to 20. Any more and you run the risk of, well, Promag being Promag.

Even then I still managed to have two broken ones out of 6.

I bet someone in Canada would be able to make a decent copy of the 597 Mags in a better material than this. Maybe tweak it to be a bit a more reliable maybe? Metal feed lips? Just spit balling here. If they did they would sell like crazy.

What's wrong with the Remington 25 rounders?

They are next to impossible to find these days, at least I haven't found any in a while.

Impossible to find and some were shipped with the spring installed backwards. I threw one out without knowing that.

The only 10/22 mags that dont seem to suck are the ruger mags, whether the 10 rounders or the pinned mags. Really hoping that the mags that come with the C22 (or whatever that O'dell 22lr rifle ends up being called) are compatible with tuf-22 receivers and don't suck. There's such a huge market there waiting for whoever can do "normal" capacity tuf-22 mags that don't have a plethora of issues.

Email them a picture and they'll send you a free replacement. Then put the spring back in that one and tape it up. I've had like 3 that dropped and popped open like that and was able to put them back together

Same happened to one of mine, except it was the top that split causing the spring to eject every round out of the mag. It was sitting on my safe next to my bed, in the middle of the night and scared the absolute shit out of me lmao.

That is terrible. Im pretty sure Legos are stronger than that

Good warning. I may reinforce mine then.

Drop one once on carpet. No more mag.

Seems like pro mags are a real hit or miss. Only mag that ever broke on me was a cross mag.

Weirdly my mag worked better after this happened and I super glued it together.

u/hippz 13d ago
