Buy recommendations Chiappa 1887 lever action shotgun - Fast load

Just wondering if anyone owns this gun and has any insight on how well it works? I'm a huge lever action guy, but I also hunt Waterfowl so I was thinking of picking up the 2 shell - fast load option for this season. I'm aware it's far less practical than my over/under, but I still feel a pull towards this shotgun. Most of the stuff I've seen online is from different brands, so I figured I'd ask here.

I'm deciding between this or a Henry homesteader, for another range gun.

Any feedback on how well it feeds and performs would be appreciated!

I have 2 Chiappa riffle. They are fun to shoot, but they feel more Turkish than Italian.

Waterfowl guns need to take a beating. They will get mud and grit everywhere inside. Need to factor that into whether a lever action is up to that.

I handled one for the first time a couple weeks back..... I dont understand how anyone could tolerate the trigger placement on that thing. Easily the most awkward firearm ive EVER shouldered.

I just bought my regular version in the 22" barrel recently, and while I have only taken it out once, it's an interesting experience to shoot that'll take some getting used to. I found, I think, that it prefers a firm, but slower and deliberate cycle than its Chinese clone cousins, as you can actually pop the shell out of alignment with the chamber throwing the lever too hard it seems. Feeding for me as a result was a bit intermittent as I got used to it, and I need to do a bit more shooting for a clearer idea on what to expect.

You could also get a regular version and dowel it for waterfowl and have 3 rounds instead of 2, if that would interest you, it's what I plan to do for grouse and perhaps at some point cranes. You can also get a 28" barrel version of that type that would be even better suited to waterfowling if you intend to use it for that quite a bit.
