Feets / Collection / My build Finally got my dream rifle — Sako TRG M10 .338 LM. M10 owners, what are you running on it?
Long time coming. Been chasing an M10 for a while and when I saw one pop up online I had to — 27” .338 Lapua, Coyote, folding. Turns out they only get about three a year, this one was ordered in 2024, and every other shop I called said special orders on these are paused and were a 1–2 year wait even before that. So when they said “we have one,” I didn’t think about it very long.
Came with the rifle, one mag, manual and the Sako hard case. That’s it.
I already run a TRG-42, everything in the safe is on Nightforce rings and ATACR’s and I’ve moved all my bipods to ARCA (MDT Ckye-Pod), so I’m leaning toward maybe an S&B or Tangent Theta and a short M-LOK ARCA rail up front.
For the guys who actually own one:
What scope did you end up putting on?
Ckye-Pod HD, Accu-Tac, Atlas?
Spare mags — anyone found them anywhere other than Tenda? Did you go down the change-kit road for .308/6.5 training?
Anything you wish you’d known before the first 100 rounds? Break-in, brake, cleaning, whatever.
Also open to any accessory I’m not thinking of. Ammo suggestions welcome too — I’ll be handloading eventually but want a factory load to zero and chrono with.

Was there any reason why you went with this over a Cadex or AI AXSR ... or just a preference thing? My personal dream rifle would be the .338 axsr but im also not in any position to buy one lol

Kind of yes! I have a cadex .308 and a few other decent rifles and I didn’t have much luck finding an axsr I tried to talk myself out of this but when I called around and got laughed at when I asked about availability I knew I had to go for this.

They have a nice AI there it’s the only one in Canada but the seller wants 28k for it it’s LE edition

That thing needs some of the most premium glass.
Khales, tangent theta, s&b etc
I hope you reload cause that thing is $$$$$$$ to feed.
And I hope you can actually stretch it out

I agree! I have atac r on my other long range rifles this one I was thinking theta or S&B right now I have a spot to shoot 1100 yards but that’s about it for now but even my RPR, sig cross etc hit that easily. My buddy does reload which is cheaper as I learned with my TRG 42 it’s expensive to shoot

I’ve been having some pain on the right side but healing up pretty well I figure in the next 10 years with AI we might not need them lol

Wow... I thought I was doing good with my Sako S20 for hunting but your TRG must be 5x that price.
Congrats, jealous.
Oops, forgot the important part. S&B, Tangent, Leupold, etc. iI would look at r/longrange for more ideas. A Vortex Razor would be my pick, but I can only afford Viper dollars.

Tbh personal taste, I run it to chase the old school military sniper look.

I just looked up the price online... literally exactly what I paid last year for a 2009 Silverado 2500 HD with 6.6L turbo diesel engine w/ Z71 & LTZ packages... what do you do for a living and are they hiring

I have the Accuracy International AX!
I don't have the M10 but my recommendation for a scope is Steiner m7 with a spuhr mount!
definitely atlas
for ammo I would go with the Sako 338 lapua mag Trg precision 300gr!
come do some longe range shooting with us if you live in BC!!
