Feets / Collection / My build EGE Arms LV12 12 Ga 3” BRL 18.5” Tactical Walnut Lever

Im just starting my gun collection and all im missing is a 12 gauge. I have a Lee Enfild and a .22. Im wondering if this is a good firearm? And if anybody has prior experiences with it or other 12 gauge shotguns I should consider. Im located in northern Alberta so lots of black bears, bobcats and other animals like that.

Maverick 88. Never done me wrong. Much parts compatibility. Inexpensive but excellent bang for the buck

I mean, every turkish shotgun is a roll of the dice.

my local range has one, i dont see the appeal of a "tactical" lever action 12ga. just kit out a 1301 imo.

or other 12 gauge shotguns I should consider.

Personally go pump; rem 870, moss 500 or mav 88

I'd avoid the Turkish offerings.

What's your budget?

I’d say if you want something serious get a maverick 88, mossberg 590, or the 870. You could with the shock wave and get adjustable stock so you have a rather compact sbs. Turkish shotguns are more range toys imo, they work but if I want something for back country backpacking I’d want something “proven”. But hey I did have a turkish churchill shockwave and that thing did eat everything i put through it with no issues.

Big fan of my supernova and my 50 something year old beretta. A newer Berreta would be nice, but a lot more expensive.

I have one that I love. It is a fun gun, but not a first shotgun in my opinion. Something tried and true on the budget end would be Mossberg 500, Maverick 88 or Winchester 870.

My dad bought the lv12 in the marine coat/silver version nice price for price it works flawlessly is smooth the wood is a bit cheap feeling compared to my Levar12s which also is a nice shorty for the money works great!

I didn’t read your whole post before I commented I’d definitely go for a mav 88 if that’s your budget or a 590 I just picked up a 590r and it’s super nice but was pricey

If you live in northern alberta, like me, dont trust your life to a range toy with a gimmick. Get, as others have said, a mossberg or a benelli. If youre local to the stony plain area swing by and we'll be happy to put some options in your hands.

Mossberg 500 or 590. Stay away from the Turkish junk
