I find guns that seem to work all the time enjoyable, and ones that don’t not fun at all. Usually that means paying a bit more for quality.

Oh no my shotgun jams in one out of every 300 rounds! Looks like I can't have fun until I get a shotgun triple the price, since it only jams in one out of 500 rounds!

It is just better if you can be confident the problems you’re experiencing are strictly because of your poor choice in ammunition, or your lack of care, and not something inherently wrong with the gun.
I remember I had a Glock 48 that I used for IPSC, and never had a single issue in the 2000 rounds or so I shot. When I sold it, I even told the seller I wasn’t going to clean it or anything because it runs perfect, and he told me, “good, please don’t.”
A little confidence when you’re using guns for more than making noise is worth a little extra money.

I get what you are saying but my Canuck Operator has run flawlessly for me thru the 1000 ish rounds i've put thru it. I know that is not the case for everyone, but I seem to have gotten a good one and love it. Hell I've used it for shooting trap and clay and have had no issues.
If I was going into battle, or needing to rely on it for self defense then yeah I'd save up and get the known quality. But for having fun, I have no regrets.
To use an analogy, I'm not going to enjoy my Subaru WRX, flaws and all, any less just because I know Ferrari's exist.

I get what you’re saying, but personally, I wouldn’t spend my money on something that is known to have serious issues, and just hope I get a good one. I’ve screwed around with enough guns in the hopes of fixing inherent problems, or making them something they’re not, knowing that it is not worth my time or money in the long run.

My brother in toes, a WRX starts around 40k and the cheapest ferrari is around 300k. That's a huge $260k difference.
The cheapest 12ga semi at Cabelas is the JTS FX12 and it comes in at $500. It appears to be targeted towards waterfowl hunters. If we look at the cheapest waterfowl shotgun from Beretta, we get the A300 ultima coming in at $1500. That's only a $1000 difference.
WRX to cheapest ferrari, the ferrari is 750% more. JTS to cheapest Beretta, the beretta is 200% more. That ain't even close to a fair comparison.
I support people shooting shitsticks, but the infatuation with shitsticks sickens me. And I hate feet.

Understood, but people tend to put a LOT of weight on these sorts of things, even if they bear little weight on the totality of the evidence, in order to dramatically alter the perception and jump to other conclusions.
