Buy recommendations 22 Plinker

Good day all, just received my pal right at the 28 day mark for valid which I’m happy about. My question is looking for a 22 for range target for my15 year son and myself.
Thoughts are derya TM-22 metal or a Ruger 22 custom like the Archangel

I was thinking that, cost wise from $600 ish for derya to a ruger build? I also need to budget for a semi shotgun

You will spend more modding a 10/22 than the purchase price of a TM22.

That is unfortunate, but out of 6 TM22's I have bought, one had a trigger problem that O'Dell fixed the day they received it.
