Buy recommendations 22 Plinker

Good day all, just received my pal right at the 28 day mark for valid which I’m happy about. My question is looking for a 22 for range target for my15 year son and myself.
Thoughts are derya TM-22 metal or a Ruger 22 custom like the Archangel

Get a Ruger 10/22 and then you can modify it into anything you want together, a fun project

I was thinking that, cost wise from $600 ish for derya to a ruger build? I also need to budget for a semi shotgun

Nice thing about the 10/22 is you could even buy a used carbine model for ~$350 and add stuff to it as you go- you could start with a rail and a scope and then slowly change out other parts like the mag release, bolt catch, barrel, stock, trigger etc over time as you figure out what you like/don’t like and what you want it to look like
