Milsurps / Prohib Need help identifying this Mauser
So I got this Mauser about a year ago, the guy wasn’t too sure what kind it was but said it was a model 24 and possibly a Persian contract. I don’t think it is since from what I’ve found FN only made 500 rifles for Iran while the rest were made by BRNO. Which leaves me wondering what kind of Mauser is this and what’s its background? The receiver has been scrubbed of markings other than the serial number and FN manufacturing stamp. The rifle is pretty bare of markings making it a tough one to identify so hopefully someone here has a clue

Looks like a model 30 but I think it might be a parts gun. The FN markings looks fake, as if they were individually stamped not roll marked.

The sight is in Arabic numbers. FN did quite a few contracts to middle Eastern countries way back. My FN49 was Egyptian Contract with arabic all over it and a FN stamp. What caliber is this rifle?

Egyptian Contract FN Model 1930 Mauser
Egypt ordered thousands of Model 1930 short rifles and carbines from FN Herstal during the 1930s and late 1940s, chambered in 7.92×57mm Mauser (8mm Mauser). These contracts specifically requested rear sights graduated in Eastern Arabic numerals to accommodate local military training.
Looks to be all matching including the '27' on the barrel band. Check the bottom of the stock (near the heel or handguard), the floorplate and the trigger guard assembly for the serials.
