Application / Regulation advice Traffic stop
Hello just wondering if I’m legally transporting a firearm (non restricted) and I am pulled over by a police officer am i under obligation to inform the officer i have a firearm in the vehicle?

Absolutely not.
And in fact it’s a good way to piss off a cop. It went from simple admin to potentially way more paperwork they don’t want or have time for. If they ask, be honest. If not.. keep the conversation relevant to why you were stopped.
It’s different in the US where concealed carry is common.
