Traffic stop

Hello just wondering if I’m legally transporting a firearm (non restricted) and I am pulled over by a police officer am i under obligation to inform the officer i have a firearm in the vehicle?

If I'm being pulled over because I broke a traffic law, first thing I'm going to do is tell them I have a gun in my car. I'll also be very polite and respectful.

I want to do everything in my power to get a warning instead of a ticket.
