They paid $600 for my GSG 16. I bought it for $450. Pretty sweet when they covered the cost of my Derya TM22 pro

I traded in a gun I couldn't use, for a new one I can, and paid nothing out of pocket. What the fuck is there to boo about that?

Padding the stats of this program. Giving them further “proof” of the “success” of this bullshit. Gold star for you buddy. Enjoy your new Derya.

Don't get pressed because someone called you out for taking a quick payday. That's entirely on you.

Trust me, the keyboard warriors who are clutching their pearls are way more "pressed" than I am. I think it's absolutely hilarious that using government money to buy more guns is somehow a big betrayal. It's so dumb.

*we as in all of us legal owners who pay taxes paid for your new gun, not the government. So ya, boo this guy

Thank you for the .0001 cents you personally contributed to my new gun. I'll remember you fondly next time I use it.

Why would you even be on this subreddit? You supported a canada guns confiscation program.

My apologies, I didn't realize participating revoked my ability to participate. I'll be sure to leave the group ASAP

Well you turned in a firearm to a program that most canadian firearm owners dont support and you took money from the limited funds.instead of standing in solidarity with other firearms owners some that are eating $20,000 - $100 000 losses you thought of yourself and took judas bag of silver

Everyone is free to make a personal choice that makes the most sense for them. The irony of the government paying more than fair market value for a firearm they don't trust me to use so I can buy an almost identical firearm was too good to pass up.

But I guess you only like freedom for some people.

You and others like this person is who theyre targeting. They arent even allowing criminals to turn in crime weapons or smuggled firearms to this program. This isnt freedom, this is oppression, they are forcefully removing your personal property. You know when everybody warns theyre coming for your guns, this is that time. You think its fine because you got a pay out but that money was from citizens and that firearm you surrendered will be used as a stat against canadian firearms owners, its destruction will support an industry standing against responsible citizens. You might be a small number or drop in the bucket on their side but you wouldve been a bigger number on the side of sport shooters, Hunters , farmers , veterans , police officers , collectors and inheritors.

You can call it pearl clutching and other descriptions you like, it doesn't change the fact that you sold out for a few hundred bucks. Says alot about your character right there.

I think it's absolutely hilarious that using government money to buy more guns is somehow a big betrayal. It's so dumb.

You are directly giving them exactly what they want. You are enabling their photo ops, their stats are being padded.

You keep trying to frame it as a win without considering the implications and larger picture.

Its a direct betrayal to everyone who is standing against the program with non compliance.

You turned in a non restricted for a few hundred bucks, that's just sad.

No such thing as government money, it's our money.
