Buy recommendations Need help with buying decisions

I have a sako s20 308 with a vortex viper gen 2 5x25 50mm, i want to do some high volume shooting practice to be better at local competitions and better myself in general. 308 being quite expensive i want to shoot 22lr to practice. I was thinking of getting the tikka t1x ace with a smaller version of the same scope i have 3x15. Should i go with a b14 or a cz 457 and is the scope idea any good.

All of em are good. If you can lay hands on all 3 and see what feels best when you shoulder them

Find what you like about the S20 and go to your LGS and handle the different variants of the CZ 457 and other .22LR rifles.

I shot my friend's Sako S20 in 7mm and I personally own a Tikka T3x Ace (same chassis as a T1x Ace) and I can tell you they feel completely different.

Some things I will highlight is, if you plan on using this .22LR rifle for competitions (the fundamentals will carry over to centerfire as well) the CZ 457 has a lot of aftermarket support and even pre-fit barrels. The B-14 uses full size magazines which can be an advantage if you have trouble manipulating the mag release and the small mags of the CZ 457.

The Cz457 is a really nice platform.

From experience, none will feel the same as your S20. But when practicing the fundamentals that doesn't really matter IMO.

When buying an optic for it find something with the most amount of adjustment that fits in your budget. You'll find you need a lot more with 22LR to make hits at range. I run a Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 on my rifle because it has 110 MOA of vertical adjustment.

Theyre all solid options. The bergara is a remington 700 footprint so it can use many of the aftermarket options for the 700 platform.

The weakest point of the t1x is rhe factory stock. Its nice and stiff due to it being fiberglass reinforced poly, but it feels small and the buttpad is hard plastic. I bought an mdt ess for my t1x but then I put the factory vertical grip and a squishy buttpad on the factory stock and now I prefer it to the chassis.

The 457 with have the biggest aftermarket of the three and also the most factory models to pick from. If you want to focus on building a bench gun you'll probably want a varmint/provarmint or an mtr model for the match chamber.
