Ruger 10/22, Model #31197. I added a BX Trigger and an el cheapo Scorpion 2-7x32 rimfire scope. So far, pretty good results at 50 yards with Aguila Standard

I always recommend a 10/22 as a first rifle. Reliable, easily modified, and generally a pretty hassle free firearm. Glad you're liking yours!

Out of all the 10/22's I've built over the years, I have to say, Ruger really nailed this model

Neat model, I like the irons. 10/22 really is wonderful. It was you who inspired me back in the day to build my first 10/22 shortie. Dlask barrel with a chopped Houge stock.
