Anyone use one of these and how are they. Anyone add a cheek riser

It’s an unapologetic hunting rifle. That’s all. Cheap and accurate enough for a HUNTING RIFLE

Got one last year on sale for around $500. I think it's has gotten even cheaper since then? 

Can't complain given the price, solid rifle for the price. Pretty accurate and shoot tight groups within 100 yards.

The only issue being it has 0 aftermarket support, no accessories and the OEM plastic magazine cost some stupid amount of money. 

Oh, don't call your M18 a Mauser in front of some die hard Mauser purists or collector.

It doesn't use the traditional Mauser action and it's produced by SIG Sauer (not to be confused with Sig Sauer) using the Mauser name.

Some Mauser collectors refuse to consider it as a Mauser like the M98.

I’ve used a Sauer 100 XT and I believe it’s basically the same action and barrel. Trigger is super nice, stock is light and felt recoil is more than similar rifles I’ve shot, but I think it’s meant to be shot with a bladed stance? Mauser has a different stock, but might be lighter because I think they have a space for a cleaning kit in it.

I love mine. Pretty accurate.
I put an MDT bipod and muzzle break on it.

I wish I could drop a MDT oryx chassis on mine, but unfortunately they have some exclusivity deal with Mauser on their LR model. (Which appears to be discontinued?)

I have one in 30-06, agree with what's said about no aftermarket support but the rifle shoots great out of the box. Kills deer just fine.

Also shooting .30-06.
At 150 yards shooting 1/4 MOA, easily.

i had one that kicked harder than any other gun ive ever shot, it was weird. louder too. like even other hunting spec rifles with no break and lightweight.

limbsaver is a must, but worked really well after that!

fit and finish is really nice for the cost, no complaints otherwise.

It uses Remington 700 scope rails/mounts. If you had to get a really decent new hunting rifle at a dirt cheap price, this should probably be near the top of the list

They feel very cheap. Very common hunting rifle in Germany. I went a bit higher and bought a Bergara b14 wilderness sierra. It is a very accurate rifle, even with lead free ammo as long as you go above 180 grains for 308

Only accurate ABOVE 180grains in .308? Seems like a mismatch in cartridge to weight ratio.

I would not choose .308 if i was choosing 180+ grain.
