Feets / Collection / My build SKS

Fit test for an SKS chassis I've been working on. Currently 3D printed in PLA, looking for recommendations on companies/manufacturers able to mill or CNC it from aluminum.

There are some hiccups I need to address still.

*Airsoft PMAG for the aesthetic*

That is a actually the first one I like and would buy. Please make it work with both SKS and SKS-D and you will have a hit.

I haven't handled an SKS-D, are there any significant differences in the geometry (besides the mag) that would prohibit an SKS stock being used?

Just the mag well + mag release (though mag release could be AK or SKS style)

I wish there was a way to move the mag release back, it makes it harder to change mags quickly

u/neumann-metalworks Will your chassis have an extended handguard like this? 🫪

We need a full handguard system similar to modern AKs.

Nope sorry, but the lower handguard connects to the body via 2 screws. Could theoretically remove said screws and make whatever longer handguard you wanted

Do you have any teasers for us?

And any plans to offer the tacticool handguard with a hush holster cut?

Because the tacticool is CNCd it'll be a lot more expensive for a Hush version, but I can certainly shop around and get some quotes.

I finally have my final chassis components coming next week! The bodies are off to the painters tomorrow, then I'll have to take a lot of time to finish and assemble them all. Should be a few weeks away till I have something to show!

With not a lot of modifications I can confirm it will take standard ak handgaurds.

When you release this in aluminum I’m gonna cum

And I hope you make some to accommodate the Hical adaptor like you have in your current version, would love not to have to mill out the new chassis

with your skill set, I think it would be much more profitable and appreciative to start prototyping some hand guards for the IWI Carmel. I would personally pay large dollar for a longer hand guard that resembles that Israeli style. Of course it would be two different versions for the non-restricted and restricted versions. PLEASE! 🙏

Remove the bayonet lug and front sight.

Thread barrel for comp

and itll look a lot better.
